Campaign Setting:

Campaign in a Nutshell:
Fairly standard Eberron game, set (almost) exclusively in the city of Sharn. The game is intended to gear towards social outcomes, rather than combat outcomes. Game is mediated through online tools.
Meta-Information:

Inter-character connections are randomly generated, and then fleshed out through pure narrative back roleplay.

Each character begins the game with a randomly generated special 'trait' which is unique to themselves. This trait gives both a connection into a larger plot web, and also a mechanical ability that the character has access to. This system is used so that the GM can attach the party to plots, without the bias of his own perceptions of what a player might enjoy or be 'best' at.

The set of possible traits is larger than the set of possible player characters, so that the GM doesn't necessarily know how the game is going to unfold.

Each player must prepare two, or more, 'contacts' for their character. These are their friends and family, and will be used to introduce events in the ongoing story.

Each character, furthermore, will be assigned up to 2 (though possibly none) extra mundane traits which could be more contacts, friends, equipment, or enemies. Again, these will be used (where appropriate) to introduce plot seeds and ongoing information.

Game will be handled through a combination of styles ('platforms'). For the most part, the game centers around the use of mapTool, and teamspeak. However, at times, players will meet and effectively LARP situations based on the events in question. LARPed events will be pure narrative, with mechanics swept under the rug.
